The Congotronics series (probably the original trance music!) has spawned six other outstanding bands form the suburbs of Kinshasa , including Kasai Ali Stars, Masanka Sankayi and others. As on the first album, listen out for distorted sounds made by the inventive recycling of old car parts, DIY amplification and a whole range of beats, swirling guitars and hypnotic Balafon. Plus the album includes a DVD to show it all. A must have!
