Former Sudanese child soldier turned rapper, Emmanuel Jal, shines with his hit single 'Gua' on this excellent compilation, showcasing music from Africa's largest country. Musical influences are predominantly Arabic, as well as Egyptian and even Congolese, and other stand-out tracks include 'Sawani' by Setona, 'Tour To Africa' by Tarig Abubakar & The Afro-Nubians and 'In Kadugli' by Joseph Modi.
