Two years ago, the Red Hot Organisation gathered together, a group of artists to raise money to fight aids in Africa. Having himself died of the disease, Fela was the obvious choice for the central theme of the resulting album, with some of his greatest recordings - 'Gentleman', 'Lady', 'Zombie' and more - being covered, ripped apart, updated and re-visioned by, among others, Baaba Maal, Cheikh Lô, Dead Prez, Blackalicious, Yerba Buena! and Femi Kuti.
