Paul I.K. ‘Play’ Dairo is one of the sons of the late legendary juju artist I.K. Dairo. Paul’s music career initially started with him producing hip-hop and R’n’B music, but then the singer / musician / songwriter / producer, initially reluctantly, did a remix of one of his father’s greatest tracks ‘Mosorire’. This proved extremely successful and his style of music is now mixing modern R’n'B, hip-hop and house, with more traditional African music. ‘Number One’ is his latest album now available in the UK. He may have used his father’s accordion on some of the tracks on this album but he’s certainly multi-talented in his own right.
