DJ Ify
Biography
I was born in the Eastern part of Nigeria as a twin, to a father who was a sailor. From the time I was young my parents recognised my talents in arts and crafts and supported me every way they could until I left secondary and started fending for myself. In college in Nigeria I studied Fine Arts and then worked in a big printing company as an artist. I came to England to further my education in graphic design, advanced video techniques and photography. After that I worked for Islington Council as an information officer and artist. Then I left to start my own business, Afrique Productions UK , which is involved in design, desktop publishing, video recording/editing and photography.
This little company has been going from strength to strength and is now at the heartbeat of the Nigerian/African communities. At the same time I have become a well-known and respected disc jockey, having played for everybody from children’s parties to the current Nigerian President and other important personalities. Currently I am also publishing a colour magazine Naija Style which covers a lot in the Nigerian/ African entertainment scene. I believe that the best is yet to come for me in my quest to be one of the best African showbiz gurus in the UK.
